Steven Holl – Herning Center of the Arts

I know that I have only five miserable years of architecture studies and a very limited knowledge when it comes to the real working world, but I just couldn’t help it but to post the images above.
I found these sketches of Steven Holl at arc-space.com. Steven Holl is one of the greatest architects ever to walk on this earth and I believe that every architect should be able to sketch a decent looking drawing, in the sense that its perspective and scale are proportionate. Well, I am not very good in sketching, but if that is Steven Holl’s sketches…. I’m speechless. Maybe its one of his chief designer’s sketches.
The Herning Center of the Arts unites, for the first time, three distinct cultural institutions: The Herning Art Museum, the MidWest ensemble and the Socle du Monde. The new Center, intended to be an innovative forum combining visual art and music, includes permanent and temporary exhibition galleries, a 300 seat auditorium, music rehearsal rooms, a restaurant, a media library and administrative offices.
