What if you could park your car in your apartment porch. Yes, your very own car porch in your apartment. CarLoft in Berlin came up with this new design that enable the resident of the apartment to park their car right at their balcony that comes with a mini garden.
CarLoft will provide its residents their own garden and car-parking space “Car Loggia”. The floor space including the aerial gardens and CarLoggias will range in size from 2,411 sq.ft. to 5,802 sq.ft. in penthouse. The prices of the luxury flats start at 450,600 euros. The penthouse, fifth floor and ground-floor are already sold.

on March 9th, 2008i just heard about this concept yesterday. i understand the technical difficulties of operating an industrial size elevator to lift cars in residential buildings. fire departments frown upon things like gasoline being placed in vulnerable spots.
but i still think this idea is terrific. the story of this coming century will be providing goods and services to the elite that enable them to overcome the everyday problems that everyone else has to face. and parking is an ideal example; even Warren Buffet might want to drive a car at some point but he certainly doesn’t want to park it if it’s a hassle.
