Graphisoft Archicad 10
7 June 2006 | Category: Reviews

I was wrong about the launching date for ArchiCAD 10, I was told that it would be made available in June, Graphisoft announced last month that Graphisoft Archicad® 10, the next version of its award-winning Virtual BuildingTM modeling solution, will launch on both Windows® and Macintosh® platforms during the first week in May.
According to Graphicsoft, the new ArchiCAD is 40-50% faster in term of production, and a whole lot more user friendly. Let us hope that it is not as buggy as the previous versions. I couldn’t find any articles about the rendering engine, I guess they are still using the same old rendering engine.
Archicad 10 lets you create walls with custom cross-section profiles. You can also create your custom-profile libraries, which can be re-used in other projects if you want. Curving shapes and angular edges can be easily modeled with Archicad 10.
