It’s a kids world, design by André Waterkeyn in 1958 for Brussels World Fair, it is called Atomium and the original plan was to demolish it after the world fair. Somehow it survive and today it has become one a popular tourist attraction that some feel is a Belgian national icon.
After 40 years and a major face lift, the Atomium is now known also as Kids Sphere Hotel in Belgium. The complex has overnight accommodation for children. How do these kids get entertained? by watching films and there is a restaurant at the top of the structure, boasting panoramic view of the city of Brussels.
