Google Sketchup 6 is here. The basic version is free, but for heavy user do consider the Pro version with a price tag of $495.
The trial version of Google SketchUp Pro has a time limited of only eight hours of usage. List of improvements are:

Watermarks – Protect your drawings with images of text blended to the background

Fog – Atmospheric fog display

3D Text Tool – Creates 3D text for your models.
