Global Marker Alliance against Autodesk Impression

Here we go again, the whole computer vs manual drawing / coloring / drafting issue. Yeah, I know drafting software like AutoCAD dulls the mind and somehow gave birth to a whole new generation of uncreative architects. I’m not against manual drawing or coloring, but sometimes things change and we should learn how to adapt to the new environment, we can’t stick with the old ways of working. For those architects that are against the digital revolution in the architecture world, I hope they walk the talk by dumping those PC or Mac in their office. The Global Marker Alliance is an organization that oppose the idea of digital coloring.

Autodesk Impression is software for designers that lets them use a computer to create renderings and illustrations, denying them of the time-honored tradition of using markers. Sure, it’s “faster” and “easier”, but is that really the point? What about the sacred bond between designer and marker that’s endured for years? by Dennis Radcliffe

That website is actually a marketing ploy by Autodesk!
If you click on any link there it will take you to Autodesk’s Impression website.
