Stylus BT Font - Architectural Font

Fonts, continuing from my previous post on Graphite Light and Architect Bold font. I Found this architectural font while doing some landscaping project. The name of the font is Stylus BT and its so easy on the eye. From my pointof view, Stylus BT is a better version of City Blueprint, I believe it comes installed default on almost every Windows XP computers.

My favorite font among all would be Trajan font, the creator of Trajan font is Carol Twombly, her interpretation of the ancient style resulted in a font family whose clarity and beauty come across in modern printed materials. Unlike other fonts, Trajan font is a commercial font, meaning to say that you have to pay USD22 for downloading the font. The image below is an example of Trajan font.

Its a slight modification of the original Myriad by Carol. Highly recommended by me for your presentation boards. These fonts are really easy on the eyes and the best part is it comes together with Adobe Photoshop. If you’re looking for the Trajan font – the pirated free Trajan Font, my adviceis stop looking because you’ll never find it online.

Two fonts that caught my attention recently while searching for free fonts online, they are Architect Bold and Graphite Light, both are commercially available for download.

The story behind the Graphite fonts begins in 1988 when David Siegal collaboration with architect Francis Ching, he designed a typeface called Tekton. Following Tekton’s success, he conducted a nationwide search for an architect with the kind of lettering he wanted to turn into a typeface to be called Graphite. While Tekton is based on the ink-pen metaphor, Graphite was to have a chiseled-pencil look. In 1991, after poring over dozens of submissions, he chose the lettering of San Francisco draftsman Anthony Celis La Rosa to be the handwriting model for Graphite.

The Architect Bold font was created by Wayne Thompson, he wanted to emulate that particular style of hand lettering that architects seem to have. It would be great if I can get my hands on those fonts, but with a price tag of $25.00 each that would burn a hole in my wallet.
