Cutaway Technical Illustrations using Adobe Illustrator CS3 Training

I couldn’t imagine myself facing the computer screen for 720 hours using Adobe Illustrator to draw the cut away section above. No, the cut section are not done in 3dmax or any other 3d program. Its all 2D line drawings drawn in Adobe Illustrator. Recalling my year one architecture drawing class, where I am required to draw those 2 point perspective and 3 point perspective houses. Those cubic box type of houses are enough to turn me into a zombie with panda eyes and hairs on my head that don’t know Newton discovered gravity hundred of years ago. The image below is a screen shot of the line drawings drawn in illustrator.

With no CAD soft copy or photographs to refer to due to the on going construction of the cruise, the artist has to rely on a sets of blueprints provided by the shipping company. 720 hours to complete that using only 2d lines drawings, I’ll go bananas if I am the artist. I wonder, how much is he being paid for each project. Kelvin Hulsey – I salute you!
