Kisho Kurokawa 1934 – 2007, Kuala Lumpur International Airport KLIA

Kisho Kurokawa died on 12th October 2007 in Tokyo due to heart failure. Kisho Kurokawa was a well-known Japanese architect and one of the founders of the Metabolist Movement.
He is the architect for my country’s main airport – the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, and further down south, Kisho Kurokawa Architects & Associates, Tokyo, together with DP Architects Pte Ltd Singapore are collaborating on the soon to be complete Singapore Flyer.
He will always be remembered for his trademark design – the Nakagin Capsule Tower, the tower had a date with the wrecking ball.
