Brooklyn Architect Robert ScaranoHere is an interesting case, Brooklyn city council is calling on the New York City Department of buildings to halt work on all projects by architect Robert Scarano today, reason being that Mr.Scarano was recently acquitted for professional misconduct.

Not only the City is going against the architect, so are the people and it appears that they have manage to gather 1500 signatures in protest of a soon to be construct office tower at their neighborhood, citing it as an disturbance to it harmony cityscape.

It seems that one part of misconduct claim might due to the fact that Scarano has been able to “self-certify” his buildings – as in, architects can vouch for the legal status of his/her designs.

According to the Real Deal, Scarano is now involved in about 300 projects across the five boroughs, from designing single-family homes to multi-complexes, the vast majority of which are in Brooklyn. In fact, some believe architect Robert M. Scarano as single-handedly redefining Brooklyn from the ground up.

From a Hero to Zero.
