The Abandoned City San Zhi

Talk about ghost city, this must be the next best abandoned city after the Chernobyl Town. originally built as a luxury vacation retreat for the rich, it was abandon due to numerous fatal accidents during the construction. According to rumors, this ghost city is now haunted by those who died building it.

The area is called San Zhi. There are no named architects since the whole site was commissioned by the government and several local firms. I guess this project may never be restarted and with these rumors going spreading like wild fire, there would be no value in re-developing the area for other purpose, anyway destroying homes of lonely spirits is a bad thing to do, unless you’re in Singapore, when land is so limited. You got no choice but to dig up the dead and convert the tranquil resting ground for 58,000 dead into 12,000 centrally located, high-rise apartments for the living.

actually, it’s not abandoned city! Now it is still a pretty town located in taipei county!Twenty or thirty years ago, it was a beautiful vacation center. They were abandoned because the manufacturer and the land owner couldn’t make the agreement. Later, it just located there but no one know what really happend in that time and then start to brougt some weird ghost story..

It’s just a rumor. The building company stopped building the hotel resort due to lack of funding. According to the news in Taiwan, this place will be torn out by the end of this year. No ghosts around this place.

it’s not real man….it’s not never haunted…never died building the house…so please do not state this as the abandoned city…

Rumor : “Someone died in the central swimming pool more than ten years ago.” The buildings were builded as vacational vailla and focus on the richers. But the windows and electronic parts couldn’t anti salty wind in the bay. So no one want to live in such a bad circustance. This community is aside of sea front in San Zhi. Driving from Taipei to San Zhi only cost 1 hr. You can go in the villa and take some pictures in these days before dismantling. Do not be afraid if you find a stranger in your pic. Because he is a real person (tourist).
