God must be crazy, he made so many of them. This is madness, my brain would explode into tiny bits if I were given the task to built this matchstick version of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry at the Matchstick Marvels museum in Gladbrook, IA. The entire Harry Potter castle should be finished by December 2006 with an estimated 602,000 matchsticks used.
602,000 matchsticks! What happen to the Save Our Forest campaign? It is reasonable right to waste but wrong to chop down our own trees in Malaysia, especially in countries like Indonesia and Brasil. A least we still have virgin forest here in Malaysia and one of the oldest in the world. Forget about that whole saving the forest issue, that is one fine model, beautifully crafted.
Trees are poems that earth writes upon the sky, We fell them down and turn them into paper, That we may record our emptiness. – Kahlil Gibran
“What happen to the Save Our Forest campaign?”
Hello Ngan, Greetings from Tony Hall in England, U.K.! I have just read your past blog about the matchstick version of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry at the Matchstick Marvels museum in Gladbrook, IA.
Your comment I have copied above reminded me that it is possible to Save the Forests with matchsticks, but only if they are “used” the way my father constructed his life-size and playable musical instruments online at the shown website and a link at the bottom of the Catfish page.
Sincerely yours, Tony Hall
