I was reading the book “Architectural Research Methods” by Linda Groat and David Wang and came across this short article on the Notre Dame du Haut, according to the book and the architect – Le Corbusier, he was inspired by a crab shell he picked up in Long Island, New York. It so happen that this crab shell was lying next to his initial sketches of the soon to be cult icon – the Notre Dame du Haut chapel.
Imagine me doing the same thing and I’ll be a professional student (repeating the same subject forever) for the rest of my life.
