Introducing Autodesk Homestyler

The author is not a CAD expert nor a web genius. Just another guy spending too much time online. The tutorials featured here are meant for basic level understanding.

  1. this looks like it piggy-backs on Ikea’s home design software that they use as a way to sell their products. Pretty cool when you can place an actual product into your space and see what it looks like in plan and 3D. Great tool for homeowners looking to visualize a space. Maybe not so good for Architects and Interior Designers trying to charge decent fees for the same services. But then, with a designer you still get a much more well thought out space that functions the way you need it to, instead of a bunch of cool furniture stuck in a room.

  2. Program from AutoDesk can’t be bad, but for me smth like Planoplan or Roomtodo is much more better. Maybe because of design or familiar products…

  3. This thing is awful. It keeps asking me to log in and then asks me to save and back to asking me to log in, and then asking me to save again, forever in a loop.
Happens with both IE11 and Chrome.
