World’s Oldest Profession

Self praise is no praise… what ever that means, sometimes I thinks that most architects have this Fxxx-ing ego called – Bullshits. According to TCPalm Lifestyle, architects tout theirs as the world’s second-oldest profession — because the practitioners of the oldest needed a place to ply their trade.

Architecture is more than mere shelter, it is about form and space, not just as a place to ply their trade. During those stone age or whatever age, people need a place to live or ply their trade because it is a necessity, not a luxury. Architecture is about the art of wasting space, this I believe happens about 3000 years ago during the Egyptian empire, so I guess hunters, kings, warriors, farmers and many more should be one of the first profession in the world and not Architect like what those “Architects” wants us to believe.

Architecture is a Luxury, not a necessity, which is why we have two separate word for a habitable space – “Architecture” and “Building”.

One of my lecturers told me that Architects are unique, she said only architects have their own language unlike other profession, they do not have their own jargon, she goes on saying that we are able to communicate with each other in our own unique jargon or whatever. I guess she must be so naive that I bet Doctors and Lawyers has their own jargon that architects do not understand, and I believe drugs dealers too has their own jargon that nobody understand. She must be talking using her squirrel size brain.

Another profession that these experts claim to be the oldest profession is prostitute, again I beg to differ. Prostitute sells their body for money and money did not exist during those time, and most of these “prostitute” are known as sex slave, they were force into this trade not for money but by force.
